I have been thinking about this Map Licence thing today, with definitive instructions, is it possible for someone to start from scratch, build the Maps and do everything else required and install them in the car WITHOUT downloading anything from this website other than instructions?

Exactly! WITHOUT downloading anything from this website - that is how I did it. I believe that sharing to the public any part of the maps package content (maps, poi, speedcams, anything) it is illegal in Europe and may violate the rights of the map manufacturer/publisher. I think it is best to leave it for torrents, there are many seeders outside Europe, you can download it without uploading/sharing, just check your torrent client options. Sharing is illegal, downloading is ok

I'm impressed with your morals m4 and thank you for bringing me back down to planet earth and reminding me of my obligations, I had not even considered the big picture of physical Maps Copyright.

So we point those that want to do it in the direction they need to be, possibly advise and that is it, no more map download from here.

So has anyone tried to mirror the app I suggested in my last post?

As far as I remembered, only Google maps and Waze works in mirroring/AA. I have licensed Sygic (on Android and also on iPhone) and for CP I need to buy special license on top and it is available last few months while for AA I receive explanation what and why...

And regarding maps... without license they are not usable...

Replaced R-Link2 V2.2 SW version 9. 0.34.611, enabled Android Auto and CarPlay (change USB slots)

Good point. That's why the licenses are. If admin wants, lets clean the thread a little bit and make a decent description of everything from start, so it can be usable with no links.
