Yes, mine does also operate manually, certainly when out of gear, can't say I have ever tried it in gear as I use the Hill Start when pulling away. When used manually it of course will release automatically when I pull away.

Hi, Did anyone figure this out? We have the same problem and the garage have just called to say they "think" it might be the switch and to replace it will be £140+VAT. Can someone please let me know if they found out what the problem was?
