@Boyko
Today after my service interval (64K km or 40K miles) I brought up same question to the mechanic in Renault service center. (I have access to those fellas and opportunity to talk 1 on 1 between us unofficially)
He told me that my chain is just a little bit loose, but nothing to worry about for now. -.-
He also explained that those chains are not like BMWs N47 chain which is way thicker and overall stronger than this. (duh!)
Then he pointed out that these engines are small for this chassis (overall weight) and users "push" them in order to go fast so chain "suffers" decreased lifespan.
My question to you Boyko is: Have they just replaced chain and chain tensioner with same but new ones, or have they used some "upgraded" version of chain and tensioner?
If they used the same just placed new ones doesn't that mean that after a while (certain kilometers or mileage) same issue (engine noise) will reappear? (and you are back at the beginning?)
@swansonuk
Mine Kadjar also went out of warranty. It was manufactured in September 2016, bought in October 2016 by first owner.
It's rarely driven, as of today it has 64K km (40K miles). All service intervals were done in time and in Renault service center, even now when it's out of warranty I maintain it there. (I'm owner since January 2022)
To whom or where to send my complaint?
You sent it directly to Renault, I want to try that too but I need that information.
And any advice or help for contacting them directly would be highly appreciated.
